Summary

LONDON NIGERIANS CRICKET CLUB was founded in 1991 by two brothers, Tom & Roland Ilube).

The ethos of the club has always been based on providing a forum for people from a Nigerian background, or with an interest in Nigeria, to come together socially and to present a positive image of the motherland in their interaction with the wider community. In 2000, in its first year in a competitive league, the club won the “All London Cricket League”.

In the years 2000, 2006 and 2008 the club undertook very successful tours of Nigeria. We played as many games as we could, competing against the Chairman’s eleven, Shell Cricket Club and the Lagos Asians to name a few, we also engaged in a number of social activities, cricket coaching clinics and media events all designed to promote the game in Nigeria.
