Baptist Academy

Summary

BAPTIST ACADEMY LAGOS was founded in 1855 and is arguably the first school established in Nigeria; its origin is traceable to African American Reverend Joseph M. Harden.

The present site was first-rate legacy of the University of Lagos, inclusive of a standard football field and a sports field complete with a six-lane athletics track. The school, recently the country’s representative at a science Olympiad in South Africa and Cowbell’s mathematics Championship winner for secondary schools in Lagos state, is continually being blessed with a growing number of brilliant students and dedicated teaching staff of sound intellect, all making their marks everywhere. BAOSA is the UK Alumni Association of the school.
