How does it work?

  1. Schools are set up as “groups” in which only members (alumni/associates) can view/subscribe to/post information, and also hence receive notifications for information.
  2. Alumni and their associates can subscribe to School groups during registration on site. After registration, they can also subscribe to extra ones if necessary.
  3. Registration involves getting Full Name, Email, Contact details, Schools subscribing to, etc.
  4. Group administrator could be any person(s) nominated by individual school alumni. Person will approve memberships, although this can be made automatic if preferred to reduce manual intervention.
  5. Once subscribed, member will start getting notifications for notices and other content posted by group administrator or other group members. They can also view the same information on the group page. Automated notifications will be via email.
  6. Information could be: normal alumni info like meeting notices, minutes, Events on a central calendar – like all the school dinners/fundraising event, NSSFF notices, Jobs on offer, voting on issues, etc.
  7. Groups are private to members only.
  8. Public notices can also be posted. Businesses can pay to post information.
  9. Members can sell legitimate products, once they become verified sellers. Products include memorabilia sales like Cuff-links, Scarves, Ties, Umbrellas, Mugs, Art prints, Blazers?. The site takes a commission on all sales.
